Well done!
Πολύ καλό παιχνίδι. Συγχαρητήρια στον developer!
A.I. Cheats...
The game is good, graphics are ok, but, as is the problem in many games, the A.I. cheats. In your next update make its rolls random, unlike the preplanned game it plays now...
Hilarious and fun!
This game is awesome! Very challenging and entertaining. Have not had any problems with crashes etc. Highly recommended
Well done
Very well thought out. My only complaint is that the game occasionally freezes on both the iPad and iPhone 4S. It seems to mostly happen while Im bearing off at the end of a game.
I wish it also had Fevga.
I bought this app when it was brand new as I have an interest in backgammon variants other than so-called standard international backgammon. When I bought it, the app had only Portes, which varies so little from standard backgammon that by itself it would not be worth buying. However the developer had said he would soon be adding Plakoto, which he did within a couple of weeks. I had hoped that the Fevga variant would be added eventually, and Mr. Vlachos did say on his website that adding Fevga was on his To-Do list. He seems to have changed his mind about this, as I can no longer find any mention of Fevga on his website. I personally dont care for the new start and preferences pages he has chosen, but that is only a minor point really. Nowhere near enough to remove a star. I am rather puzzled by the fact that instead of implementing the 3rd Greek backgammon variant Fevga, the developer chose to spend his time improving the commenting and ambience features which are really secondary to the game play, not an integral part of it. I was actually quite disturbed by the opponents hands feature and I disabled it immediately. I found it rather shocking to suddenly see what appears to be a real human hand appear to move the pieces. Later in the game, when the opponents hand must reach all the way across the board is when you see what looks like a severed human hand come out to play. Its a bit like playing backgammon with Thing from the Addams Family! Until such time as Mr. Vlachos decides to implement Fevga, even as an In-App purchase, I cannot recommend buying Dortia. I would instead recommend iTavli which has all of the three Greek variants of Portes, Plakoto, and Fevga.
